Returns & Refund Policy
General Returns
If you wish to return an item, please contact British Pneumatics before returning any goods. Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused.
Where a return is approved, goods must be:
- Unused and in resalable condition.
- Complete with all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and documentation.
- Free from installation marks, damage, contamination, or modification.
- Returned within the agreed return period.
The customer is responsible for ensuring returned goods are adequately packaged for transit.
Made-to-Order, Special Order and Non-Stock Items
Many products supplied by British Pneumatics are sourced specifically against customer orders from manufacturers, distributors, or overseas suppliers.
Unless faulty, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise required by law, the following items are generally non-returnable and non-refundable:
- Made-to-order products.
- Special-order products.
- Non-stock items procured specifically for a customer.
- Products manufactured, assembled, modified, configured, or customised to customer requirements.
- Electrical components, control systems, and automation products that have been installed, programmed, configured, or commissioned.
Once procurement from the manufacturer or supplier has commenced, cancellation requests may not be accepted.
Any exception to this policy shall be entirely at our discretion and may be subject to restocking, handling, administration, and supplier charges.
Restocking Charges
Where a return is accepted for reasons other than fault, damage, or supply error, a restocking charge may apply.
Restocking charges may vary depending on the product and supplier requirements but are typically up to 25% of the order value.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return results from our error.
Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Customers should inspect all deliveries upon receipt.
If goods arrive damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible and, where practical, within 48 hours of delivery.
Photographs of the packaging, shipping labels, and affected goods may be required to support any claim.
We reserve the right to investigate claims before authorising replacement, repair, or refund.
Faulty Goods
If you believe a product is faulty, please contact us with:
- Order number.
- Product details.
- Description of the fault.
- Photographs or videos where applicable.
Many manufacturers require products to be inspected and tested before fault claims can be approved.
Where a product is confirmed to be faulty and covered by warranty, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the product;
- Replace the product; or
- Provide an appropriate refund.
Normal wear and tear, misuse, incorrect installation, incorrect specification, accidental damage, improper maintenance, or use outside manufacturer recommendations are not covered.
Products Returned as Faulty but Found Not to Be Faulty
Where goods are returned for inspection and found to be functioning correctly or where the issue results from installation, configuration, specification, or operational error, we reserve the right to:
- Return the goods to the customer;
- Charge reasonable inspection or testing fees;
- Charge shipping costs incurred.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method wherever possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending on payment provider and banking systems.
We reserve the right to withhold refunds until returned goods have been received and inspected.
Business Customers
The majority of products supplied by British Pneumatics are intended for industrial, commercial, trade, and business use.
Business-to-business transactions may not benefit from the same cancellation rights available to consumers under consumer protection legislation.
Customers are encouraged to verify specifications, compatibility, and suitability before placing an order.
